CHICAGO – The University of Chicago women's tennis team placed five players on the All-University Athletic Association (UAA) Team on Monday.
Sophomore Marjorie Antohi and first-year Claire Handa were First Team All-UAA selections in both singles and doubles play. As a tandem, they possess a 13-7 doubles mark atop the lineup. Handa, playing primarily at first singles, owns a 20-6 individual record. Anothi, playing at second singles, leads the team in singles wins at 22-6. The sophomore repeated her First Team singles accolade from last season, when she was also named 2017 UAA Rookie of the Year.
First-year Catherine Xu was Second Team All-UAA at third singles. The rookie is 15-7 in singles on the season.
Sophomore Alyssa Rudin earned Honorable Mention status at fifth singles. Rudin is currently 17-7 in singles action. It marks her third career All-UAA honor.
Rudin teamed up with fellow sophomore Estefania Navarro to gain Honorable Mention All-UAA at third doubles. They are currently 12-1 at that position and are riding a seven-match winning streak.
