CHICAGO – University of Chicago volleyball totaled four players on the 2018 All-University Athletic Association Team on Wednesday.
Setter Emma Griffith was placed on the All-UAA First Team for the second-straight year. The sophomore paces the conference with 1,280 total assists, which also ranks second in all of NCAA Division III. She is averaging 10.94 assists per set. With Griffith leading the offense, UChicago owns a .248 team hitting percentage. The setter has also served up a team-high 44 aces and recorded 3.01 digs per set.
Sarah Muisenga joined Griffith on the All-UAA First Team. She was previously a First Team pick in 2016 and 2017. The senior rightside hitter is ranked seventh in the UAA for total kills, tallying 311. Muisenga is third on the team with 2.78 kills per set while hitting at a .255 efficiency. She also records 3.00 digs per set.
Madison Pearson earned a spot on the All-UAA First Team for her first conference honor. The junior middle hitter is ranked sixth in the conference with a hitting percentage of .337. Pearson scores 2.41 kills per set and also ranks eighth in the conference for total blocks with 77.
Anne Marie Stifter was an Honorable Mention All-UAA pick at outside hitter. The junior is averaging 1.87 kills per set and 2.82 digs per set.
