No. 12-ranked UChicago (7-1-1 record, 1-0 UAA) hosts Carthage College (4-4-2) on Tuesday, followed by a Sunday morning road matchup at No. 18-ranked University of Rochester (7-2, 0-1 UAA).
Junior goalkeeper Miranda Malone picked up her second-straight University Athletic Association (UAA) Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday. She collected a career-high 10 saves versus Emory University, making five saves in each half. The Maroons won their conference opener 2-1 over the Eagles thanks to first-half goals by senior Rachel Dias and sophomore Peyton Jefferson.

The Maroons return to St. James Farm for the second time this season. They will be running in the Benedictine Invitational on Friday. The women's 6K is scheduled for 4:00 PM, with the men's 8K set to follow at 4:45 PM.
At last weekend's Augustana College Invite, junior Ryan Cutter won his second-straight race, finishing the men's 8K in a time of 24:59. UChicago won the team title handily with 15 points, easily outpointing the runner-up team (114 points). The men swept the top six placements at the meet. On the women's side, senior Maggie Boudreau took second place in the women's 6K in a time of 22:18.6. The Maroons snagged the team championship as well with 36 points, placing three racers in the top five individually.

No. 3-ranked UChicago (16-1 record) heads to the western suburbs on Saturday for the Elmhurst College Quadrangular. The Maroons take on regional foes North Central College (5-15) and host Elmhurst (7-11).
At last weekend's UAA Round Robin #2, the Maroons defeated Brandeis University 3-0 and No. 14-ranked Carnegie Mellon University 3-1. UChicago's defense shut down the opposing attacks, limiting Brandeis to a .059 hitting percentage and CMU to a .045 hitting percentage. Junior libero Katherine Wilson led the way with 6.14 digs per set, netting UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week in the process on Monday.

No. 6-ranked UChicago (5-1-4 record, 1-0 UAA) continues its league slate with a Sunday afternoon road game at Rochester (7-3, 0-1 UAA).
The Maroons blanked a pair of opponents at home last week, downing Elmhurst 3-0 and Emory 5-0. Junior midfielder Bryce Millington tallied game-winning goals in both games with first-half headers. Millington's four goals lead the team and is a new career high for a season. UChicago outshot the opposition 37-10 overall. The Maroons have won 13 of their last 15 home games at Stagg Field.
